Caicedo has helped guide Chelsea to the Club World Cup final, starting on Tuesday as newcomer Joao Pedro bagged a brace on his full debut to down boyhood club Fluminense. Chelsea stare down the challenge of European champions Paris Saint-Germain, who thrashed Real Madrid 4-0 to also book their place.

Caicedo made no mention of the injury in is post-match Instagram post, but as per a fan video on Twitter, he didn’t exactly look too comfortable coming off the team bus. Twisted ankles don’t just go away in a few days unfortunately.

Moises Caicedo has returned to Chelsea training 72 hours before the Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain. The Ecuador international went down injured towards the end of Tuesday’s semi-final victory over Fluminense and received treatment on the pitch before hobbling off.
