LSU travels to Clemson for its season opener on Aug 30. Head coach Brian Kelly is confident his Tigers will retain the real 'Death Valley' title.

After a 76-0 loss at Clemson, then-Presbyterian College coach Lonnie McMillan started to referring to the Tigers’ stadium as “Death Valley.” Clemson opened the season at home vs. Presbyterian, an in-state school, every year from 1930-57.

LSU and Clemson not only share a mascot but also a nickname for both of their stadiums. Both Tiger Stadium and Memorial Stadium are two of the most intimidating environments in all of college football.
