With a hot and humid night making perfect conditions for the long ball, Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh won the 2025 T-Mobile Home Run Derby, defeating Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero in the finals.
Raleigh made history as a catcher, but his Home Run Derby victory was special for more reasons than that. Raleigh had his father, Todd, pitching to him and his brother, Todd Jr., behind the plate. And the hardware included a title belt handed to him by former WWE champion Cody Rhodes.
USA Baseball announced the decision before Cal Raleigh participated in the All-Star Home Run Derby. The 28-year-old entered the All-Star break leading the major leagues with 38 homers and 82 RBIs.
Cal Raleigh won the 2025 Home Run Derby, but it was thanks to him barely hitting a home run further than Brent Rooker in the first round.
