San Francisco Giants designated hitter Rafael Devers is dealing with a disk injury in his lower back that has limited his production since joining his new club. Manager Bob Melvin is hopeful Devers won't require a stint on the injured list given the upcoming time off for the All-Star break.

The Rafael Devers saga continues. In the weeks after the Boston Red Sox traded him to the San Francisco Giants for refusal to change positions, word has begun trickling out that Devers has continued to be non cooperative.

The Boston Red Sox no longer have Rafael Devers on the roster but have still been mixed in some drama involving the former Boston star. This week, it came out that former San Francisco Giants star Will Clark offered to work out with Devers at first base but he didn’t end up showing up.
