While Superman is taking his lumps throughout the superhero movie, The Green Lantern, played wonderfully by Nathan Fillion, walks through disasters and battles with nary a scratch. He is unflappable and seemingly untouchable by any of the many enemies he faces throughout the movie. He’s even cocky about it.

Superman is off to a great start at the box office. James Gunn kicked off his reboot of the DC Universe with the second best opening of his career, and the best ever for a solo Superman movie.

Most recently, it led the way for writer-director James Gunn to release Superman, a more modern imagining of the Man of Steel’s adventures, with David Corenswet portraying the titular hero.
