Shares of data-mining and analytics company Palantir (NYSE:PLTR) jumped 3.9% in the afternoon session after the company's stock continued to benefit from strong momentum in the artificial intelligence sector and positive investor sentiment.

One stock that managed to outmaneuver the various headwinds torturing the markets throughout the year, however, is data mining specialist Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR). With shares soaring by 80% during the first six months of 2025, Palantir was the top-performing stock across both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100.

Palantir’s valuation has been supercharged as the U.S. government has increasingly adopted its technology since Donald Trump became president in January.
